We invite you to apply to be a part of our University community!Job DescriptionTo perform complex secretarial, office administration, and public relations assignments; perform related work.The successful candidate will support the activities of the Chair and faculty of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences (BPSCI), located on both the Meridian and Pocatello campuses, and provides assistance to PharmD and graduate students. This administrative assistant will also support ordering and distribution of materials and supplies for the department and maintain the department's internal financial accounting.Key Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to all visitors, faculty, staff, and students.
- Purchase laboratory and office equipment, tracking expenditures by lab; includes becoming a requisition master for the department.
- Budget and track departmental expenses, including startups.
- Support management of grants and contracts, supporting compliance with NIH and other granting agencies.
- Coordinate admissions and paperwork with the Graduate School.
- Prepare human resources documents; create and maintain records, reports, minutes, and confidential files; supervise student workers; and other duties as assigned.
- Office support functions including word processing, filing, composing a variety of business documents and reception.
- Researching, compiling, and summarizing data for reports.
- Interpreting, applying and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies or services.
- Independently solving problems/performing liaison activities in a work setting.
- Coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements.
- Financial record keeping.
- Supervisory practices.

- Using dictation/transcription equipment & taking minutes.
