- Performs initial intake and evaluation of participants
- Facilitates and prepares for group/individual sessions
- Creates and maintains individual and group therapy files
- Facilitates adherence to core curriculum
- Assesses and monitors progress of inmate/s throughout program
- Provides and coordinates discharge planning with Case Worker and Detention Center staff
- May help develop new policies and procedures as needed
- Considerable knowledge of:
- Applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, codes and ordinances
- Current Evidence Based Best Practices and concepts of Substance Abuse Treatment
- Community service organizations and agencies
- Skill in:
- Working with people of different social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds
- Computers and software to prepare reports
- Ability to:
- Work well with a team, as well as independently
- Provide group treatment and individual counseling using Matrix Model
