
Network Engineer (On-Site)

- Support the network and computing infrastructure.
- Ensure optimal network security and performance.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues involving servers, workstations, and network systems.
- Document problems and resolutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Monitors system and infrastructure performance and implement performance tuning options.
- Manage user accounts, global policies and permissions.
- Administer and support Windows-based servers and PCs.
- Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for:
- Windows based servers and PCs
- LAN/WAN environments including racks, switches, routers, firewalls, network services.
- Exchange, Active Directory and SQL Servers.
- Microsoft and industry specific software platforms.
- Virtualized server and data center environments, including disaster recovery systems.
- Smartphones, tablets and mobile device configurations.
- VoIP phone system and IPSec/SSL VPN configurations.
- Voice and data cabling.
- System backup and restoration software.
- Phone and internet services.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
- 4-6 years of professional experience in network engineering or related roles
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and concepts such as OSPF, BGP, STP, 802.1p/DSCP, VLANs, etc.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Exposure to Palo Alto Networks and/or Extreme Networks is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a business-friendly language.
- Regularly required to communicate effectively (talk and hear).
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with arms.
- Must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- May be required to climb stairs and ladders.
- Visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, color recognition, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
