Under the direction of the Grants Project Director, this position works independently with high levels of responsibility and subject matter autonomy. The position requires regular collaboration with MTC and external partners.The IGNITE Federal Grant Job Developer is responsible for developing, identifying, and posting work opportunities for students; connecting students to job opportunities; delivering job preparation workshops; and delivering employer workshops on creating internships or apprenticeships. This position coordinates grant programming with the MTC Student Career & Employment Services Office staff, MTC Business Solutions Office Executive Director and staff, as well as grant partners.Position requires local travel and attendance at events outside of normal work hours.
- A bachelor's degree and experience in higher education and student services programs.
- A master's degree in higher education or related field, and experience in college career services.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish rapport with a diverse student population, faculty, staff, administration, and employers.
- Ability to apply college policy and procedures , and exercise professional judgement.
- Excellent computer skills and the ability to implement technology into programming and workshops.
- Ability to identify, develop, and implement programming/services to benefit the campus community.
