- Monitor welding procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Identify issues such as improper welding techniques, material defects, or insufficient weld penetration.
- Visually inspect welds and fusions on fittings and joints to verify adherence to procedures.
- Monitor and enforce a three-level inspection process.
- Conduct daily observations and document all results.
- Examine work areas to ensure compliance with contract requirements and resolve differences.
- Ensure all work is in compliance with approved submittals and contract documents.
- Ensure rework items are corrected.
- Participate in strategic planning efforts.
- Perform internal quality inspections and participate with IOR inspections.
- Review and approve submittals for compliance with subcontract documents.
- Prepare quality management plans for specialized projects.
- Schedule and conduct pre-installation conferences.
- Supervise testing agencies and maintain records to ensure compliance with standards.
- Verify materials meet contract-specific requirements.
- Participate in Contractor Quality weekly meetings.
- Chair and document weekly QC meetings with stakeholders.
- Oversee daily and weekly QC/QA reports.
- Demonstrate core values and principles.
- Follow the Code of Conduct and safety procedures.
- Report incidents, near hits, and hazards to management.
- Advise employees of hazardous situations.
- Participate in workplace inspections and required training.
- Attend prestart and safety meetings and contribute.
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines applicable to design and construction.
- Proficiency in welding, quality assurance, construction, and engineering.
- Experience in large project and construction management.
- Ability to interpret and enforce contract requirements.
- Knowledge of welding procedures, material defects, inspection, planning, QA/QC, and quality control.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction standards and best practices.
- Strong computer skills, including Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint, MS Office, Smartsheet, ACC, Bluebeam, and BIM 360 Field.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards for industrial construction, with a preference for semiconductor industrial experience.
- Experience in interpreting and enforcing contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Graduate of a four-year accredited college or university program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science. Equivalent education or experience may be considered.
- 5 years of experience in large project and construction management.
- USACE Construction Quality Management certificate or equivalent required.
- Detailed knowledge of B31.3, NFPA 70, NFPA 54, and IBC Chapter 17.
- ICC certification preferred.
