You will collaborate with various departments such as procurement, production, logistics, and sales to develop comprehensive plans that meet demand, minimize costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. This includes forecasting demand, determining inventory levels, and optimizing production schedules.Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical data, market trends, and customer insights to forecast demand accurately. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand promotional activities, product launches, and other factors influencing demand.Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to balance customer service levels and minimize carrying costs. Implement inventory control measures such as safety stock, reorder points, and inventory turnover analysis.Production Planning: Coordinate with production teams to develop production schedules that meet demand requirements while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing lead times.Supplier Management: Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials and components. Monitor supplier performance and develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.Logistics Optimization: Oversee transportation and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of goods while minimizing transportation costs and reducing carbon footprint.Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of supply chain operations. Analyze performance data and identify areas for improvement.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and operations to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the supply chain. Master's degree preferred.Proven experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, and production scheduling, preferably in a managerial role.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and levels of the organization.Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP systems, demand planning software, and inventory management systems.Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.Knowledge of best practices in supply chain management, including lean principles, Six Sigma, and agile methodologies.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is a plus.My client is a fast growing CPG start up company with a ton of room for growth. This is an exciting role for someone that wants to help build out a supply chain function with a seat at the executive table.Target compensation is commensurate with candidate's experience - $110,000 - $130,000 base salary + 10% bonus.
