As a Supply Chain Planning Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of supply chain planning strategies to optimize inventory levels, ensure product availability, and enhance operational efficiency. You will play a critical role in coordinating demand forecasting, production planning, inventory management, and distribution logistics to meet customer requirements while minimizing costs and risks.Demand Forecasting and Planning:
  • Lead the demand forecasting process, collaborating with sales, marketing, and other relevant departments to develop accurate demand forecasts.
  • Utilize forecasting models, historical data, market trends, and customer insights to generate demand forecasts for products and services.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, identify forecast biases, and continuously improve forecasting methodologies to enhance forecast reliability.
Production and Inventory Planning:
  • Develop production plans and inventory strategies to meet forecasted demand while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing carrying costs.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure production schedules align with demand forecasts and inventory targets.
  • Implement inventory optimization techniques, such as safety stock management, reorder point calculation, and lead time optimization.
Supplier Collaboration and Procurement Planning:
  • Collaborate with suppliers/vendors to ensure timely availability of materials and components to support production schedules.
  • Develop procurement plans and strategies to manage supplier relationships, mitigate supply chain risks, and optimize procurement costs.
  • Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and delivery reliability to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Logistics and Distribution Planning:
  • Coordinate with logistics partners and internal distribution teams to optimize transportation routes, reduce lead times, and minimize transportation costs.
  • Develop distribution plans and strategies to ensure timely delivery of products to customers while maximizing distribution efficiency.
  • Monitor transportation performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, transportation costs) and implement improvements to enhance logistics operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, finance, and IT, to align supply chain planning activities with business goals and objectives.
  • Participate in S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings to review demand forecasts, production plans, inventory levels, and supply chain performance.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide visibility into supply chain planning activities, address issues, and drive alignment across departments.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, production planning, inventory management, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain planning tools and systems (e.g., ERP systems, demand planning software, inventory management tools).
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive consensus.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain concepts, principles, and best practices, including demand forecasting methodologies, inventory management techniques, and logistics optimization strategies.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute supply chain planning strategies that align with business objectives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
