- Plan, execute, and manage a variety of environmental due diligence, site investigation, and remediation projects.
- Serve as a technical leader for clients and project staff, providing guidance on all phases of environmental due diligence through remediation efforts including planning, permitting, investigation, design, cleanup, and long-term monitoring.
- Plan and manage field explorations and environmental data collection efforts. Field explorations may include drilling and test pitting to collect soil samples, and monitoring well installation and collection of groundwater samples.
- Key role in developing and supporting client relations, business development activities, and identifying new project opportunities.
- Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Independently scope, plan, and manage a variety of environmental projects with minimal oversight.
- Prepare and review technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, and proposals; and oversee and review documents prepared by project teams.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring profitability and adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Independently interacts with clients, legal counsel, and regulatory agencies to meet project and client goals.
- Support the company’s accounts receivable management and collection process.
- Achieve project financial metrics and promote cross-selling and firm-wide business goals.
- Lead the development and implementation of environmental due diligence and site investigations, remedial investigations, and cleanup actions on suspected or known contaminated sites.
- Lead the development of work plans, data evaluation, remediation approaches, removal action work plans, and remediation design plans.
- Oversees team operations and the daily workflow of the team
- Organizes workflow and ensures that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Recruits and hires new employees
- Implements training for new hires and identifies training opportunities for current staff
- Communicates information from leadership to employees and vice versa
- Monitors employee productivity and provides constructive feedback and coaching
- Sets goals for performance and deadlines in ways that are consistent with company’s plans and vision and communicates them to employees
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Decides on reward and promotion based on performance
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
- 10+ years preferred of direct environmental consulting or related professional experience.
- Licensed professional Geologist, Hydrogeologist, or Engineer.
