Project Manager / Estimator – Environmental Remediation & ConstructionLocation: Woodinville, WASalary: $80-$100K ($38-$48/per hour)Position SummaryOur client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager / Estimator to lead and support environmental remediation and construction projects from initial bid through final closeout. This hybrid role requires a strategic thinker who can manage project execution while also preparing competitive estimates and proposals. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, technical expertise in environmental remediation, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively across a range of project sizes and complexities.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Pre-Construction
Review RFPs and support Go/No-Go decisions with senior leadership
Attend bid walks and represent company professionally to clients and stakeholders
Engage clients on technical aspects of remediation projects during the bidding phase
Analyze alternative construction methods to improve bid competitiveness
Prepare detailed estimates using bidding software (e.g., B2W)
Conduct subcontractor and vendor outreach to secure competitive pricing
Draft formal written proposals with clear scope, budget, and schedule
Participate in internal bid reviews to identify risks and opportunities
Communicate estimate details to field teams during pre-construction meetings
Project Management & Execution
Lead estimator-to-project manager handoff meetings to review scope, budget, and execution strategy
Define project objectives, manage critical paths, and guide teams toward successful completion
Serve as the primary point of contact for all project communications
Track project costs, manage budgets, and prepare change orders for scope modifications
Review and approve subcontractor requisitions, including final payments
Supervise and mentor Superintendents, Foremen, and project team members
Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies
Conduct post-project evaluations and prepare recommendation reports
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations throughout the project lifecycle
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of construction methods, environmental remediation, and project sequencing
Ability to work independently on small projects and collaboratively on larger pursuits
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project); familiarity with estimating and project management software preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Skilled in conflict resolution and team leadership
Detail-oriented with the ability to identify discrepancies and risks
Willingness to travel throughout California and occasionally out of state
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field preferred
3–5 years of experience in environmental remediation as a Project Manager, Estimator, Superintendent, or Foreman
OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification or equivalent (training available if needed)
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
