Job DescriptionWE ARE HIRING!AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roads & Highways Civil Engineer Intern – Summer 2026 to join our Reno, NV office.ABOUT USAtkinsRéalis is a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization. Our depth and breadth of expertise enables us to tackle the most technically complex and time-sensitive projects—driving innovation, resilience, and real-world impact where it matters most.Our Internship Program, Explore, is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what it’s like to work in a professional environment and apply what’s learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide administrative and operations support to Roads & Highways Engineering staff
  • Collaborate with engineers on Roadway plan production tasks
  • Performs simple drafting and CAD assignments following detailed instructions
  • Assist in the compilation of design data and the preparation of construction plans
QUALIFICATIONS
  • EXPERIENCE:
  • No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
  • EDUCATION:
  • Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026).
  • SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer (preferred)
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills including active listening
  • Willingness to ask questions
