
Water Resources Engineer Intern - Spring 2026

- Assist in performing routine engineering work on track to develop professional proficiency
- Assist in drainage evaluation and design for roadway and development projects
- Assist in flood assessments for urban and natural environments
- Support engineers with water resources projects and technical tasks
- Facilitate communication of design intent through engineering plans and documents for construction
- Contribute to the compilation of design data and the preparation of construction plans and documents
- EXPERIENCE:
- No experience is generally required if accepted into a Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
- EDUCATION:
- Must have completed 100+ hours towards a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Spring 2026).
- Ideal candidate will be graduating at the end of the Spring 2026 semester
- SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred)
- Goal and deadline oriented
- Self-motivated and willingness to learn
- Experience with HEC-HMS or HEC-RAS beneficial
- Interest in drainage design, flood analysis, and hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
