The Application Support Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery and maintenance of application support services across the branch. This role ensures the effective operation of proprietary and desktop applications, coordinates with leadership on strategic initiatives, and leads a team of support professionals to deliver high-quality service to end users.Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.Location: Des Moines; required to be onsiteTo Apply:Candidates need to complete the NEOGOV application and attach a cover letter and resume. Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director of Information Technology, candidates will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and maintenance of application support services across the branch. This position will oversee end-user services including technical support for proprietary and desktop applications; manage incident and problem resolution processes, ensuring timely and effective responses; manage relationships with software vendors; direct research on emerging application technologies and recommend solutions; oversee management for software licensing and use; assist in the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategic plans; define business and system requirements for new technology implementations relating to application support operations; develop and document policies and procedures for application support operations.What's in it for YOU:

The starting salary for new State of Iowa Judicial Branch employees is expected to be at the base of the pay range. The pay range for this position is $76,980.80 to $122,990.40. Adjustments may be made if the successful applicant has relevant experience above minimum qualifications.This is a non-merit position. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.Minimum Qualification Requirements
  • Associate's degree in information technology, computer science, or a closely related field
  • Professional certification in an industry-recognized Information Technology field
  • Five (5) years of experience in computer science, or closely related field.
Experience may be substituted with related education on the basis that successful completion of thirty (30) semester hours or academic equivalent equals one year of experience. Supervisory experience is preferred.
