The Project Management Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of project managers to ensure successful planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent projects. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Information Technology, or designee, candidates will be responsible for overseeing a team of project managers to ensure successful planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent projects. This role is accountable for driving project delivery excellence, fostering collaboration between cross-functional teams, and aligning project outcomes with business objectives. They will actively participate in resource planning, governance, and risk management, while nurturing the professional development of their team; serves as a key liaison between IT, business units, and executive leadership to facilitate project alignment and resolve conflicts; oversee creation of comprehensive Statements of Work (SOWs), project budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to optimize delivery and maximize ROI; lead the resolution of escalated project issues, facilitate mediation and decision-making as needed.What's in it for YOU:

The starting salary for new State of Iowa Judicial Branch employees is expected to be at the base of the pay range. The pay range for this position is $76,980.80 to $122,990.40. Adjustments may be made if the successful applicant has relevant experience above minimum qualifications.This is a non-merit position. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.Minimum Qualification Requirements
  • Associate's degree in information technology, computer science, or a closely related field
  • Professional certification in an industry-recognized Information Technology field
  • Five (5) years of experience in computer science, or closely related field.
Experience may be substituted with related education on the basis that successful completion of thirty (30) semester hours or academic equivalent equals one year of experience. Supervisory experience is preferred.
