- Identify, screen, and support new technologies and capabilities for coatings and adhesives across all Trane Technologies business units.
- Establish and manage relationships with external partners, suppliers, industry experts, labs, and universities to leverage expertise and meet project deliverables.
- Support technology roadmaps and strategies to develop advanced technologies and capabilities ahead of program needs.
- Deploy newly developed technologies and capabilities into new product development programs.
- Manage and execute deliverables for new product development, quality/reliability projects, and cost improvement programs involving coatings and adhesives.
- Interact with internal business units and global supply chain teams to contribute to new product development and support quality, reliability, and cost reduction projects.
- Use appropriate analytical and test methods to select manufacturing materials and processes, create test plans, and ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Travel up to 15%, including international travel, as required.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in product development, application, and use of coatings and paints for corrosion protection, with desirable experience in adhesives.
- Familiarity with corrosion mechanisms and coating solutions, as well as adhesives and bonding materials, for HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in testing and validating coatings and adhesives using ASTM and ISO standards and developing engineering standards and drawings.
- Experience coordinating work with suppliers, external labs, and coil vendors, and implementing selected materials into finished products.
- Strong program/project management skills, problem-solving, analytical abilities, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-starter and quick learner with the ability to work with minimal supervision, identify root causes, and implement solutions, including material testing and failure analysis..

- Work Environment : This position works in a typical office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Occasional travel may be required. This position will also require assisting in the review of laboratory testing in a typical laboratory environment as well as potential visits to suppliers, external partners, and Trane Technologies manufacturing locations. Safety shoes and safety glasses (provided by company) are required to be worn at all times in the laboratory or any manufacturing areas.
