TBS Training Department is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Liaison Officer to support the U.S. Coast Guard Liaison Office (CGLO) located at Naval Air Station Pensacola. This position is instrumental in coordinating Coast Guard aviation training operations and student progression, while serving as the CGLO's primary representative to interservice training commands. In this role, the Liaison Officer will manage the day-to-day operations of the CGLO, serving as the central point of contact for the oversight of over 100 Coast Guard flight students enrolled in Navy and Air Force aviation training pipelines. The individual will coordinate directly with multiple commands, including Naval Aviation Schools Command (NASC), the Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA), Training Air Wings, and U.S. Air Force flying squadrons to monitor and support student training progress.The Liaison Officer is responsible for managing student in- and out-processing, conducting class check-ins, and tracking student performance throughout their training. The role includes maintaining and analyzing data in the Coast Guard Aviation Production Planning (CGAPP) system and related databases such as TSHARP and NIPDR. The incumbent will interpret training throughput trends, identify scheduling bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for optimizing student pipeline efficiency.Additional duties include drafting input for Officer Evaluation Reports (OERs), ensuring accuracy and completeness of training records, and facilitating mentoring and performance interventions as needed. The Liaison Officer will support curriculum alignment by advising on updates to training directives and will coordinate with leadership on programmatic enhancements, policy compliance, and resource planning. This position also supports instructor certification oversight and contributes to the strategic execution of aviation training objectives in line with USCG directives and DOD interoperability standards.Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and at least one year of experience related to aviation training, program analysis, or military education program support. Familiarity with Coast Guard or Navy aviation programs and a strong understanding of relevant training directives (such as CNATRAINST 1500.4 and COMDTINST 1500.10D) is highly preferred. Proficiency in data analysis, professional writing, and interagency coordination is essential. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 background investigation are required.Schedule and Travel:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with work performed Monday through Saturday during core operating hours between 5:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Occasional travel to CGLO-supported sites in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Fort Novosel, Alabama is expected.Why Join Us:
