- General
- Participates in committees, meetings, in-services and activities.
- Recommends short term and long term goals for the facilities and leadership team.
- Recommends action plan for achieving goals based on SLT guidance.
- Monitors and handles maintenance of environment of care of facility.
- Evaluates need for new/different items relative to trends and needs of community.
- Coordinates with facility's arrangement with the contracted service providers.
- Leads direct reports by providing guidance, coaching and growth opportunities.
- Works closely with surrounding Clinic Directors, Office Managers and AVP Leaders to ensure success.
- Financial Practices
- Promotes cost containment and efficient use of facility resources.
- Analyzes work areas and make recommendations for potential cost-effective improvements.
- Processes and monitors payroll for accuracy, timeliness and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Coordinates purchasing of surgery and facility equipment/supplies to provided highest level of care within budget.
- Compliance Program
- Contributes to the progress and development of compliance program.
- Performs according to established compliance policies and procedures.
- Coordinates with Compliance Office and Director to support and promote compliance, policies and procedures.
- Quality
- Contribute to progress and development of quality assessment.
- Performs according to established guidelines policies and procedures.
- Coordinates activities with Director of Quality to promote staff involvements.
- Evaluate suggestions, grievances and processes objectively to identify ways to improve performance standards.
- Safety / Risk Management
- Adheres to safety policies and procedures in performance of job duties.
- Works to resolve observed or suspected safety violations, hazards, and policy/procedure noncompliance>
- Serves as internal risk manager and oversees the safety and risk-management program for patients, staff and employees.
- Personnel
- Implements approved personnel policies according to applicable state and federal laws.
- Completes or oversees evaluation process for all employees.
- Oversees and contributes to the employees’ orientation and mandatory education program.
- Directs in-service education programs with regard to purpose, content, and need; ensures staff attendance.
- Maintains confidential personnel files according to state and federal guidelines.
- Maintains open lines of communication with People Services team.
- Bachelor of Science degree strongly desired
- REQUIRED: State of AZ RN license
- REQUIRED: Working knowledge of all aspects regarding optometric care
- Certified Ophthalmic Executive (COE) of Corporate Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (CCOA) preferred
- Minimum of four years’ Ophthalmology management experience preferred
- Strong financial aptitude and computer skills
- Experience with a fully-integrated medical office software package is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions
- Demonstrated ability to delegate and supervise a team
