Have a minimum of four (4) years full-time paid work experience in building maintenance which shall have included work in such fields as air-conditioning, plumbing and fixtures, electrical, carpentry, masonry, plastering, and painting.

Have a valid Michigan driver's license.Physical Conditions / Work LocationPHYSICAL ACTIVITIES A Facilities Maintenance Technician II must be in good physical condition, such to allow for medium to heavy work activities requiring the lifting and carrying of objects weighing fifty (50) pounds or more, and for walking, standing, bending for extended periods of time.ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSAn employee in this class performs job duties in a variety of work locations including inside of, on top of, or outside of County buildings and facilities.Additional InformationEVALUATION CONTENT:The selected candidate must take a post-offer medical examination (including back screen and complete physical) and drug screening test given by a County appointed physician before the first day of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the medical examination and drug screening test. Applicants for County employment may be subject to a post-offer criminal background check, depending on the nature and assignment of the position. When such check is conducted, an offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the criminal background check.
