We are looking to hire a Mecical Assistan/LPN for our Neurosurgery Clinic.As a Receptionist/Scheduler at MercyOne, you will be responsible for performing registration functions utilizing hospital/department policies, procedures and computer systems. Maintains a high degree of accuracy in collecting patient demographic, and insurance information from various sources (i.e., patient, physician offices and hospital personnel). Collects brief patient history from scheduled patients. Manages all forms of communication for the Business Office (i.e., faxes, telephones, copiers, patients, visitors, staff and physician communication).
  • Schedules procedures for unit, accurately obtaining and documenting all required information received from physician office Scheduling staff.
  • Maintains a detailed log of all scheduling transactions each day.
  • Verifies the next day’s schedule with physician offices.
  • Collaborates with Team Coordinator to rearrange schedule for optimal use of staff, equipment, rooms and physician time.
Schedule:Full TimeDaysGeneral Requirements:
  • One year experience in health care field using medical terminology preferred.
  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire
Education:
  • · High school diploma or GED equivalent.
