Access Operations Associate II
Pay Rate: $22/hour, paid weekly
Location: 121 Seaport Boulevard, 10th Floor - Seaport, Boston MA 02210
1 year contract with potential for extension and/or conversionDuties
The Access Operations Associate is primarily responsible to enter microdissection charges directly into the billing vendor AR System. They work on daily queues of incoming cases to review for complete and accurate billing information to determine the party responsible for payment for submission to the billing vendor.Responsibilities
  • Document review, data entry; and case submission to FMI's billing vendor.
  • Communicate with internal and external clients to obtain missing billing information.
  • Investigate missing information prior to pursuing payment collection; and,
  • Reach out to patients directly to obtain missing payment information.
  • Review and enter supplemental test charges to the billing vendor's system(s).
  • Coordinate the receipt of Advance Notice forms from patients as required by payers.
  • Answer incoming calls and e-mails to address internal and external inquiries. Educate
patients on financial assistance program and assist them with the application process.
  • Ad hoc requests and special projects as necessary.

Education
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree
  • 1+ year(s) of customer service experience and/or professional office experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ year(s) of professional of experience within medical billing and/or in a patient-centric role
