The High Energy Physics (HEP) Division at Argonne National Laboratory invites applications for a Staff Physicist position. We are seeking outstanding candidates to contribute to our collider experiment research program, particularly in the ATLAS experiment. The successful candidate is expected to take a leading role in data analysis, detector construction, and experiment operations.In addition to collider physics, the position offers opportunities to engage in interdisciplinary research across Argonne, including projects involving artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) and high-performance computing (HPC).We are primarily considering candidates at the Assistant Physicist level (RD2), which is comparable to a tenure-track assistant professor position.
