- Ability to operate and maintain offshore installation equipment.
- Lead deck operations required in the installation of cabled ocean sensors.
- Provides customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
- Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment.
- Works autonomously.
- Responsible for the design, layout, testing and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems.
- Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval.
- Certified crane operator up to 300 tons.
- Qualified rigger.
- Certified welder in 3G and 6G.
- Small boat operator.
- Forklift operator.
- Can operate engine lathes and mills with some machining experience.
- Desired experience, training or degrees include: marine equipment operator, deck rigging operations and planning.
- Works autonomously.
- Work is structured within identified boundaries.
- Mya work on assignments requiring judgment and initiative.
- Requires strong knowledge of job area typically obtained through direct experience.
- Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline. May have broad knowledge of equipment operation.
- High School Diploma, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Associates Degree, and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Familiar with offshore operations.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Ability to weld and operate lathes and mills.
- Certified crane and forklift operator.
- Past security clearance.
