Advanced Veterinary Specialists is seeking a full-time overnight Veterinary Technician to join the ER team.Duties and responsibilities you may own in this role:
- Triage and prioritize incoming patients
- Stabilize patients in critical condition
- Assist with diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications and fluids
- Provide wound care and post-surgical support
- Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities
- Assist during surgeries and emergency procedures
- Communicate with pet owners
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitization
- Educate pet owners on aftercare
- Collaborate with the veterinary team
- Stay updated through continuing education
- Offer compassion and emotional support to patients and owners.
$1,000 sign-on bonus for new full-time overnight ER employees !Schedule:
- 6pm-6am

- High school diploma
- 2+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry, ER experience preferred
- Current and valid RVT license in the state of CA preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
- Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
