- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective AML/CFT compliance program.
- Ensure the bank's compliance with AML/CFT regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and other relevant regulations.
- Update and revise all applicable policies and procedures as necessary to reflect changes in regulations and industry best practices.

- Implement and maintain an effective Customer Identification Program (“CIP”) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) risk rating and monitoring processes to include initial and ongoing assessments and reviews and analyzes unusual account activity.
- Ensure enhanced due diligence (EDD) for high-risk customers.
- Develop and deliver all applicable training and programs for bank directors, employees, new hires, and annual staff refresher courses.
- Stay current on regulatory changes; ensure the bank's staff is informed and trained.
- Coordinating and assisting in the administration of independent, state, and federal regulator and auditor examinations and reviews.
- Coordinating responses to regulatory examinations and audits and actions taken to ensure deficiencies as identified are corrected.
- Performs routine monitoring to determine the extent of compliance with regulators, laws, policies, and procedures. Communicates results of monitoring to Branch and Executive Management.
- Conducts annual risk assessments to ensure risk mitigation is adequate for size and complexity of the institution.
- Ensure annual Board of Directors training.
- Perform annual risk assessments of the AML/CFT Program, including OFAC.
- Prepare Monthly Board Reports
- Oversee the AML/CFT team monitoring and analyzing transactions for suspicious activity.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (“SARS”), Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), OFAC Reports and Information Requests.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and regulatory agencies during information requests and investigations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all applicable compliance activities, including SARs, CTRs, risk assessments, and training records.
- Ensure proper documentation of all compliance efforts and decisions.
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and examiners.
- Experience in fraud investigations within the bank and assisting law enforcement as necessary.
- Investigate suspected fraudulent activities, identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend preventive measures.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of data to identify inconsistencies.
- Interview witnesses and suspects, gather evidence, and prepare reports on findings.
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies to support fraud investigations.
- Stay updated on the latest fraud trends and prevention measures.
- Provide training and guidance to bank employees on fraud detection and prevention.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations, as well as federal and state laws.
- Prepare detailed reports for bank management, outlining investigations findings and recommendations.
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or similar certification
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in BSA/AML compliance within the financial industry.
- In-depth knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC laws, regulation, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong ethical standards and high levels or integrity.
- Excellent project and time management skills and ability to manage and prioritize rapidly changing workloads and meet deadlines.
- Proficient and experienced in Microsoft Office suite products and technology, including but not limited to: Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills, regularly demonstrating the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful professional relationships with Executive Management and team members.
- Fiserv core operating system experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Accreditation as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
