Job Title: Summer 2026 Global Continuous Improvement & Quality (CIQ) InternSummary: As a CIQ Intern, you will apply Lean Six Sigma tools to uncover efficiency opportunities and drive impactful change across global operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze production and quality data, and lead real-world projects that enhance performance, reduce waste, and support strategic initiatives.Responsibilities Include:Work closely with CIQ BB to translate gaps identified from tools/processes such as Operational Excellence Maturity Model, Management Operating System (MOS), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Customer Complaints, Out of Spec/Slow Moving Inventory (OOS/SMI) and GLIMS into CI projects with quantifiable results.Perform data mining/hypothesis testing to identify trends in Operations and Quality data in support of Lean Six Sigma projectsPartner with Quality and Operations teams to identify products and test methods that are opportunities for Continuous Improvement (CI) projects and lead projects as neededPresent project outcomes to site leadership and global Quality organization.Become White Belt certified through project work and required training.Qualifications:The following are required for the rolePursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a technical field such as Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or StatisticsKnowledge of Basic statistics and/or successful completion of university-level mathematics coursesComputer skills including Excel and PowerPoint. Minitab or other statistical analysis tool preferred.Attention to detail – ability to document new processes and procedures.Self-starter – Proactively identify new opportunities to drive efficiencies in Quality and Service at Friendly, WV sitePrior experience training or teaching technical topics to small groups considered a plus.Must have reliable transportation to and from the siteProgram Qualifications:The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.What We Offer: Base Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00The base salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
