- Originate and fund Consumer Direct mortgage loans through inbound web applications and phone inquiries.
- Educate members on mortgage products, including Rapid Refinance options, and recommend solutions aligned with their financial goals.
- Provide exceptional digital and in-person service by scheduling milestone check-ins and clearly communicating loan timelines and responsibilities.
- Manage a robust loan pipeline, ensure timely follow-up, and maintain accurate status updates on all applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., realtors) to support a smooth loan process from application to closing.
- Meet or exceed monthly loan production, service level, and referral goals.
- Build strong member relationships by identifying opportunities to cross-sell additional UW Credit Union products and services.
- Maintain compliance and operational excellence through accurate documentation, timely processing, and ongoing quality assurance.
- Contribute to team and organizational success by participating in trainings, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to UWCU’s service standards in all member and staff interactions.
- Associate degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Banking, or related field
- 7 months to 1 year of mortgage loan origination experience
- Must be or become federally registered with NMLS.
- Understanding of real estate lending laws and secondary market/investor guidelines
- Knowledge of fair lending policies and guidelines including, but not limited to, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, The Fair Housing Act, and the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to cultivate and build relationships.
- Ability to process paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in loan origination systems, Microsoft Office, and digital tools
