Mechanical Project EngineerJob DescriptionJoin a leading chemical manufacturer known for its innovative rubber additives, chlorine tablets, and oil additives. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing projects, enhancing safety, and driving sustainability initiatives.Responsibilities
  • Lead project management through the Front-End Loading (FEL) process, preparing necessary documentation and defining project scopes with departmental engineers.
  • Coordinate and hold meetings with internal stakeholders, including purchasing, department heads, engineers, safety, and environmental teams.
  • Manage and oversee various projects such as pump replacements, valve updates, and generator projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Facilitate collaboration with third-party contractors and engineering design firms to achieve project objectives.
  • Present project documentation and updates to stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals for projects ranging from $50k to $200k.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2-5 years of project management experience with similar project spends.
  • Strong in chemical manufacturing and understanding of working with various chemicals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with hazardous chemicals is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the oil and gas industry is beneficial.
