Edward Jones is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to help our System Security group lead technology and transformation efforts. This individual will be responsible for working with cross-functional groups to design, configure, and deploy security infrastructure. This role will provide leadership related to the technical aspects of tools, methodologies, standards, regulations, and best practices within their area(s) of expertise. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience with networking and encryption(PKI).What You'll Do:
- Evaluate the security posture of existing security infrastructure to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to implement, configure, improve security solutions across systems, networks, and applications
- Develop and maintain systems, security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise PKI systems and processes
- Design and secure network architecture/solutions (segmentation, firewalls, zero-trust etc...)
- Act as a subject matter expert in core security domains, providing guidance and technical leadership to cross-functional engineering teams

- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications or Engineering preferred or related work experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience directly related to technical area of expertise.
- Considered a subject matter expert in at least one I.S. discipline (business solutions, systems development, infrastructure area, planning, security) and have experience across multiple platforms in an area or multiple technologies in a layer (network, encryption, certificates, system hardening, compute, operating systems, data, application infrastructure, VM, cloud etc...)
- Ability to develop system designs within area of expertise.
- Ability to perform analysis of system requirements to determine feasibility, costs, benefits.
- Demonstrates the ability to provide strategic direction and technical leadership to align objectives with the overall Firm strategy
- Able to create a strong team environment and build technical skills through training and mentoring of others.
- Ability to influence Team Leaders, Project Leaders and/or associates in a matrix organization.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships across departments, business areas, and vendors.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
