  • As the U-2 Deputy Chief Engineer (Level 6), you will be responsible for supporting the U-2 Chief Engineer in providing technical leadership and ensuring the technical integrity of the U-2 program. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Acting as the primary interface to the customer Chief Engineer and customer engineering organization
  • Overseeing all U-2 engineering activities, including concept formulation, preliminary design, detailed design, system modification, software development, and system test including flight test
  • Assisting the U-2 Chief Engineer in the management of day-to-day operation of the U-2 engineering organization
  • Directing the execution of U-2 system engineering processes, conducting risk management, and ensuring system safety across all U-2 modifications and activities
  • Providing coordination/integration between the U-2 Chief Engineer and functions responsible for planning and forecasting necessary staffing and other resources

  • Bachelors or above degree in an engineering/technical discipline.
  • Experience with a technical background in aircraft/technology development.
  • Experience with systems engineering processes.
  • Experience as a technical lead and/or project manager.
Desired skills
  • Chief Engineer or Deputy Chief Engineer experience.
  • Background in Mission Systems, Air Vehicle Systems, or other aircraft development competencies.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with other LM Aero LOBs.
  • Knowledge of ADP processes as well as site-specific advanced systems and technology & product innovation projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and deliver professional level presentations.
