- Administer and support WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Perform regular monitoring, maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting of network systems
- Implement network configurations and assist in network upgrades
- Maintain network documentation and follow ITIL-based operational procedures
- Provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and DoD 8570.01 standards
- Network device configuration and troubleshooting fundamentals
- Understanding of IPv4 addressing and subnetting
- Familiarity with basic network services: SSH, DNS, DHCP, NTP, LDAP
- Foundational cybersecurity principles
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of IT industry terminology and problem-solving methodologies
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Security+ certification
- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Security+ certification
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Security+ certification
- Prior to start: Must hold a current Security+ CE (IAT Level II) certification
- Within 60 days: Must obtain a CSSP Infrastructure Support certification (e.g., CySA+)
- Within 180 days: Must obtain a Computing Environment certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or Network+ CE)
- Preferred: CCNA certification
- Hands-on experience with Cisco or Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls
- Network Layer 3 configuration and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
- VPN and RAVPN implementation and support
- Firewall administration (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto)
- Experience working within an IT production network environment
- Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours.
- Perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, utilizing a computer, mouse, and keyboard.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- Quickly learn and retain routine tasks and processes.
- Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, business correspondence proficiency, and self-management capabilities.
