
Test and Reliability Engineer

- Conduct reliability analysis such as MTBF calculations, Lambda Predictions, Weibull Distribution and FMEAs
- Understand design requirements and help formulate comprehensive test plans that cover functional as well as application specific product performance and lifetime requirements
- Responsible for all tactical aspects of test plan implementation/execution including setting up of test stands, coordinating with other functions for building custom test setups and use of shared laboratory resources
- Analyze test data and provide data driven recommendation to the design team to help verify, validate and improve product performance
- Deliver comprehensive test reports to help ensure that all aspects of the V&V activity for the project are captured and there is no ambiguity about the test data, conclusions and recommendations
- Collaborate with, mentor and train other engineers and technicians to develop advanced electro-mechanical test systems including writing custom programs in LabView/Python or similar; to augment, automate and increase coverage of existing test infrastructure
- Providing estimates on test resources for projects (time, resources and infrastructure) during project planning and resourcing phase
- Collaborate with other Product Companies (and Divisions) within Atlas Copco to understand and help implement best in class test practices and infrastructure
- Have Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Physics or equivalent with 5+ years experience
- Have demonstrated experience of working with cross-functional NPI teams and supporting NPI timelines on fast evolving projects
- Have demonstrated ability to program in LabView/Python or similar for test stand development, automation, data acquisition, and data processing
- Have demonstrated experience with Reliability modeling using tools like Reliasoft or similar
- Have demonstrated experience with creating Reliability test plans and execution of accelerated growth models
- Have demonstrated experience with statistical tools for data reduction and analysis
- Have demonstrated experience with DOE, hypothesis testing and/or similar methods
- Have hands on experience with the use (setup, calibration) of common measurement devices such as power supplies, multimeters, flowmeters, thermocouples, pressure transducers, diodes (and similar)
- Have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to summarize complex data/results into clear, concise and actionable recommendation to the broader engineering team
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus within the broader engineering organization based on test results
- Have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Physics or equivalent with 3+ years experienc
- Have experience with relevant regulatory and compliance standards such as SEMI, UL, CE and PE
- Have experience working with ultra-high vacuum and cryogenic equipment
