
Sr. Mechanical Engineer

- Proactively identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and value enhancement through Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) principles.
- Provide comprehensive engineering support to a cross-functional team of engineers and technicians throughout the design process, including technical reviews, modeling, analysis, verification, validation, and design transfer activities.
- Collaborate closely with other functions (e.g. Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain) to ensure that product cost, quality, and lead time goals are consistently met.
- Develop robust Test Plans aligned with performance objectives derived from system specifications.
- Partner closely with Applications Engineers and the Product Management Team to develop clear and comprehensive Technical Requirements Specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement of existing mechanical product designs and manufacturing processes throughout their lifecycle.
- Ensure product reliability, manufacturability, and compliance with relevant industry regulations.
- Effectively manage engineering changes and proactively address issues such as component obsolescence.
- Have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience.
- Have a demonstrated track record of leading sustaining projects in Industrial Products with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer).
- Have proficiency in Computer-Aided 3D Design software (PTC Creo or Autodesk Inventor).
- Have extensive experience in Conceptual Designs, Prototyping, and Functional Testing on Industrial Products like Pump, Refrigerators, or Compressors
- Have experience in material selection to achieve specialized functions such as low friction, sealing, and preferred extreme temperatures.
- Have experience selecting materials for specialized functions like low friction, sealing, or extreme temperature applications.
- Are skilled in developing and executing design verification tests at the component and system level using risk analysis tools.
- Have a strong track record in conducting failure analysis and root cause investigations.
- Bring experience from a manufacturing environment and understand design for manufacturing and assembly (DfM/DfA) principles.
- Communicate technical information effectively to a wide range of audiences, including cross-functional leadership.
- Take initiative and approach problems with creative, practical solutions.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
