
Modular Building Program Coordinator

- You will serve as the Modular Building Program Coordinator to review construction plans for modular buildings to ensure compliance with state codes, regulations, and modular construction standards.
- You will process modular building certification label applications for filed or approved modular plans.
- You will review applications, quality control manuals and other supporting documentation for all applicants for modular building manufacturers, representatives and approved inspection agency licenses.
- You will communicate with manufacturers, design professionals code officials, approved inspection agencies, and other stakeholders to resolve code deficiencies or answer questions related to modular plan review and code compliance.
- You will prepare monthly modular building reports and conduct audits of in-state manufacturing sites.
- You will perform other duties such as reviewing and updating the Council's website, attending meetings, developing long-range plans and objectives, and participate in training, policy development, and code review updates.
- A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
- A bachelor's degree and at least three years of plan review and/or code enforcement experience.
- International Code Council (ICC) Certified Building Plans Examiner or Certified Building Official (CBO) designation or other relevant certifications in the building construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of model codes (e.g., IBC, IRC, IMC, IPC, NEC) and modular construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills. ability to exercise judgment and discretion.
- Position works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing.
- Daily use of computers and telephones.
- Ability to bend, lift, carry, move and position objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Occasional overnight travel and work outside of normal Agency business hours.
- Occasional overnight travel to state and national meetings.
