- Manage projects and maintain schedule, budget, and profitability of assigned projects, overseeing the preparation of plans, specifications, and proposals.
- Coordinate with other design disciplines such as structures, hydraulics, traffic, and utilities, etc.
- Collaborate with management to determine long-range plans and objectives, including recommendations on project staffing, evaluating, and mentoring subordinate staff.
- Review, monitor, and develop complex layouts, sketches, plans, specifications and estimates, standards and guidelines, correspondence, and prepare reports.
- Participate in the preparation of technical proposals and labor estimates.
- Maintain positive client relationships.
- Manages engineering activities for all phases of an assigned project
- Use creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment to lead land development and infrastructure projects from conceptual and preliminary engineering to final design
- Collaborate with other Senior Engineering Managers in each design discipline, including structures, environmental, hydraulics/drainage, stormwater, traffic, electrical, utilities, and right of way
- Lead in the formulation of advance technical concepts in proposal development, preliminary design phases, and presentations to client
- Independently perform highly complex professional assignments demanding contributions calling for the application of specialized engineering principles
- Assure that engineering services are commensurate with professional standards, client requirements, budget control scheduling, cost engineering/control, quality control, and project objectives.
- Represent respective projects at meetings and conferences
- Support efforts in proposal development, project scoping as well as with client relationship
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager
- Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture or related field from an accredited university. Masters degree is preferred.
- Eight plus years of experience in mixed-use project development, management, administration, and inspection along with a demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, architecture principles & construction techniques
- Skill in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in dealing with municipal agencies.
- Professional Engineering License in Florida is preferred.
- Registered Architect License in Florida is preferred.
- Building Official License in Florida is a plus.
