Maintain a clean and organized work area while consistently applying best maintenance practices.· Technical Expertise:Demonstrate a strong understanding of forklift mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.· Problem Solving:Utilize diagnostic skills to identify faults and determine the root causes of mechanical issues, ensuring a "fix it right the first time" approach.· Technical Proficiency:Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively to assist in repairs.· Tools and Equipment:Possess a sufficient set of tools and a toolbox to service forklifts, complementing the instruments provided by the company.· Physical Stamina:Exhibit the capability to lift heavy objects and work in tight or awkward spaces as needed.· Effective Communication:Maintain clear communication skills for documenting repairs and collaborating with team members.· Attention to Detail:Approach inspections, repairs, and record-keeping meticulously, utilizing computer tablets and related software for work capture management.· Dependability:Be reliable and responsible, consistently fulfilling obligations and commitments.· Initiative:Show a willingness to embrace responsibilities and tackle challenges proactively.· Integrity:Uphold honesty and ethical standards in all work-related activities.· Environmental Awareness:Work safely around fumes, odors, chemicals, and loud noises typically found in a GSE shop environment.· Adaptability:Most work will be conducted within the shop, but the ability to retrieve or service equipment on the ramp in various weather conditions is required when safely possible.· Background Requirements:Must successfully pass a 10-year background check and qualify for CVG airport ramp driving privileges (valid driver’s license and satisfactory background check).· Additional Duties:Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:· Must be 21 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.· Related licenses/certifications and a minimum of 2 years of experience in forklift maintenance are highly desired.Why Join Us?At DHL Express, we believe in investing in our employees.
