- Assist in the development of departmental processes, document control, and goals with compliance to AS9100D. Focus on continuous improvement in quality performance of Operations and implement process improvements.
- Develop and maintain receiving in-process and outgoing inspection & documentation. Ensure manufacturing adherence to procedure.
- Review customer non-conformances and coordinate corrective and preventive actions. Complete customers return failure analysis within specified time period and lead corrective action activities
- Oversee calibration and testing program.
- Manage DCMA quality control inspection process
- Assist in managing departmental metrics, goals, and continuous improvement projects.
- Develop inspection methodologies using standard metrological practices.
- Perform internal, external and non-scheduled audits. Address non-conformities from previous internal and external audits.
- Assist engineering with the documenting and develop product inspection work instructions
- Assist production and engineering with compliance to state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
- Review contracts and purchase orders for Quality Assurance provisions and ensure the project's Quality Assurance Plan operates within customer contract/purchase order requirements.
- Define, communicate and manage Project Quality Assurance activities through an approved and operating plan for Quality
- Develop/perform required product and process testing, as required by quality plans, manufacturing specifications, and customer requirements. Design, build or arrange test equipment & fixtures for quality inspection & test.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 QMS environment
- High proficiency with GD&T, use of metrology instruments, Measurement System Gage R&R, and root cause analysis required
- Computer Skills (MS Office Suite) required
- Training in foreign object damage awareness.
- Understanding of Mil Standards.
- Previous work experience with military products and/or DOD is a plus
- Experience with MS Office Suite (especially Excel), Database management, Accounting Software (MAS90, SAP or similar), ERP system
- BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Business Administration preferred
- Minimum 10 years of Quality Systems implementation and management
- Minimum 10 years in an ISO9001/AS9100 or other regulated industry environment
- Minimum 5 years' experience supporting ISO9001/AS9100 QMS audit preparation, direct participation, and processing audit results.
- Minimum 10 years in a manufacturing environment
