
Senior Analyst, Fund Accounting and Operations

- Prepare financial statements, regulatory filings, account reconciliations, and journal entries for mutual funds, investment advisor, and separate accounts.
- Lead business requirement analysis, testing, and documentation for fund-related projects and system enhancements.
- Support quality control through user acceptance testing and oversight of reporting databases.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and assist with fund fee calculations and margin movement reporting.
- Contribute to ongoing operations, compliance with accounting standards, and resolution of NAV or distribution errors.
- Serve as a backup for valuation processes, board reporting, and other key fund operations.

- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and 3--5 years of experience in investments, mutual funds, or a similar operational environment.
- Proficiency in Excel (including formula development), Word, and Access, with the ability to quickly learn investment-related systems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial analysis and collaborate across teams.
- Ability to analyze complex project requirements, document detailed testing plans, and communicate impact to management and project team.
- Experience in mutual fund accounting, administration, variable annuities, or public accounting is preferred.
- Familiarity with SEC reporting, technical accounting guidance, and regulatory requirements in the mutual fund industry; SQL knowledge a plus.
