Talascend is currently seeking an SME Oracle APEX Developer for a contract-to-direct opportunity with our client in Washington DC. This role requires full-time, on-site at the Department of Justice (DOJ). You must be a U.S. Citizen, eligible for Public Trust security clearance.Overview
This on-site role supports the full lifecycle development of Oracle applications using Oracle APEX, within a federal program. The position requires strong technical skills, a self-starter attitude, and the ability to translate user needs into effective solutions.Responsibilities
  • Develop and support custom Oracle applications using Oracle APEX 21 and above
  • Work with tools like Quest Toad and Oracle SQL Developer
  • Design dynamic web content using JQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Create dynamic reports and manage Oracle database objects
  • Write PL/SQL, Java, PowerShell, and Unix shell scripts
  • Handle unstructured data types such as BLOBs, CLOBs, JSON, and XMLType
  • Integrate BI Publisher templates and web services
  • Migrate Oracle Forms applications to Oracle APEX
  • Develop APIs and enterprise-level workflow-centric applications
  • Automate business processes through logical functions and algorithms
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for Public Trust clearance
  • Candidates having advanced Oracle APEX experience >15 years, will be considered, preference for candidates with a BS/MS degree and 10 years of experience.
  • Secure network programming in Oracle environment
  • Proficiency with PL/SQL, Java, scripting languages, and Oracle IDEs
  • Strong background in unstructured data handling
  • Experience with Agile development and customer engagement
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Database 11+ and APEX 4.0+
  • Familiarity with Oracle Forms/Reports 10G+
  • DOJ contracting experience and active DOJ clearance
