- Lead project and service delivery teams;
- Mentor and manage operational staff (field and laboratory personnel).
- Communicate with clients, staff, and supervisors to successfully and profitably deliver high-quality construction materials testing and inspection services on a consistent basis.
- Coordinate work to assure projects/contracts are properly managed thereby assuring budgets and schedules are met and work product meets both client's needs and Kleinfelder's standards.
- Target and achieve results-based goals, set challenging goals, prioritize tasks, overcome obstacles, accept accountability, set team standards and responsibilities, and provide leadership/motivation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for staff.
- Develop and review project proposals
- Sell Kleinfelder's services to new and existing clients aligned with Kleinfelder's business plan.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in materials testing, special inspection, construction management, and/or other construction-related engineering service.
- A minimum of 2 years of project management experience, including responsibility for direct client interaction, as well as the ability to plan, organize, execute, and direct various size projects.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member, maintain composure, and work effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass drug test.
- Professional Engineer License
- Able to use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- A good work ethic, attention to detail, and high level of personal integrity.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Candidates with applicable construction inspection and testing certifications from the American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Code Council (ICC), National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET); the American Welding Society (AWS).
- Engineering Certification (EI) and on track to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the future.
