
Private Wealth Credit Portfolio Manager

- Reviews highly complex and customized Private Wealth transactions above a designated threshold against Regions' credit standards, validates the appropriate risk rating, and recommends credit decision with autonomy
- Structures and negotiates complex PWM credit products to both competitively meet unique PWM client credit needs and minimize credit risk
- Prepares credit packages for new and renewed debt products including performing credit underwriting, analyzing financial statements and projections, utilizing financial models, determining appropriate risk rating, and identifying and mitigating credit risks
- Monitors and manages the credit exposure within Regions' Private Wealth portfolio and identifies opportunities for exposure reduction or new credit opportunities
- Manages and conducts timely and ongoing portfolio monitoring and servicing activities for an assigned portfolio
- Oversees past due and maturing loans and workflow for an assigned portfolio
- Maintains expert knowledge of and ensures compliance with internal bank PWM, commercial loan policy, and consumer loan policy, credit risk appetite, and external regulatory requirements
- Documents exceptions to credit policy and related rationale/risk mitigation with autonomy
- Assesses risk issues using standard procedures and exercises excellent business judgement
- Engages with WAs and LAs for assigned portfolio, active in client planning and deal structuring by leading deal discussions and negotiations
- Consults with both internal and external clients on PWM credit solutions
- Participates in pricing decisions for PWM credit solutions
- Reviews loan documents for accuracy prior to closing
- Provides coaching and mentorship for other associates and field partners
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Seven (7) years of experience in commercial or PWM underwriting
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Commercial or Private Wealth management underwriting experience
- Knowledge of both Consumer and Commercial Loan Products and Compliance issues
- Prior experience with the Individual Rating Model in Moody’s Risk Analyst (MRA)
- Successful completion of Moody’s online credit training or other major corporate credit training program
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
- Advanced Excel and MRA spreadsheet skills
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and finance, financial statements, cash flow analysis, collateral, loan structuring, and loan documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
