This role is ideal for a seasoned professional ready to lead high-impact transportation projects, collaborate directly with clients, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Manage roadway design projects, including highways, arterials, intersections, and interchanges
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, scopes, and deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with NCDOT and FHWA standards
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as primary point of contact
  • Lead proposal development and contribute to business development activities
  • Mentor and train junior engineering staff
  • Utilize design software such as MicroStation, GeoPak, and Open Roads
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • P.E. license in NC (or ability to secure within 6 months)
  • 10+ years of roadway design and project management experience
  • Strong background with MicroStation, GeoPak, Open Roads, CAD, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated success in business development and proposal preparation
