
Nurse Manager - Event Medicine

- Department Description: Provides evaluation of patients and treatment at community events around the Charlotte region.
- Location: Charlotte, NC
- Relocation Assistance up to $7500 available
- Minimum of ALS, PALS, TNCC and 5 years' ED experience requirerd. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in event medicine and management preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two years clinical RN experience in an acute care setting required.
- Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state required. BLS required. Prior demonstrated leadership preferred.
- Additional skills required: Understands and applies: current and future trends/practice in area of responsibility; regulatory and governing standards, policies and procedures; information systems and software used in area of responsibility; equipment used in performing assigned duties; application of safety and infection control policies and procedures; skills in interviewing and selection process; understanding of budgeting, staffing, payroll and purchasing processes; implementation of competency, feedback, development and progressive discipline processes; teambuilding, conflict management, and interpersonal relationship skills; principles of adult learning and teaching methods/models; decision making, project leadership and consultation, delegation and communication skills; customer needs and expectations and knowledge for improvement to exceed customer expectations; principles of change management.
- Additional skills preferred: Board certification in area of practice.
- Large event management. Including oversight and organization of event coverage, staff, supplies and logistics.
- Coverage of mass gatherings. As necessary, working with local, state, and federal agencies to support mass gatherings in the Charlotte Region.
- Managing venue specific medical support as outlined in contractual agreements. This includes the maintenance, staffing and stocking of onsite care centers.
- Support Novant Health partners with medical coverage as outlined in agreements. This can include professional athletic organizations, semi-professional athletic organizations, youth or recreational teams, and/or community organizations
- Provide medical coverage at Novant Health sponsored community events throughout the Charlotte region.
- Maintenance of a small fleet of Event Medicine vehicles. This includes annual maintenance, insurance, and repairs.
- Collaborate with Novant Health departments such as Sports Medicine and Corporate Spon
- Ensure staff are compliant with all licensing requirements and Novant Health policies.
- Ensure proper documentation and recording keeping. This includes invoicing, budget management, data collection and analysis,
