We're a growing manufacturer in Northeast Ohio seeking a mid-level Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller to strengthen our finance team. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with several years of experience who is ready for more responsibility and exposure to leadership. You'll play a key role in managing core accounting functions, partnering with operations, and preparing for future Controller-level opportunities.What You'll Do:Lead and support monthly and year-end close processes with accuracy and timelinessPrepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reportsPerform cost and margin analysis; maintain inventory accuracy; and collaborate with operations on scrap, cycle counts, and ERP data integrityOversee daily accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) functions, including reconciliations and cash applicationsPrepare weekly borrowing base certificates and maintain cash flow forecastingAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business planningSupport external audit efforts and coordinate audit preparationRecommend and implement improvements to streamline accounting processes and ERP workflowsPartner with cross-functional teams — Operations, Sales, and Quality — to resolve issues and strengthen financial outcomesQualifications3–6 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or a manufacturing settingBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldSolid knowledge of GAAP and core accounting functions (A/P, A/R, GL, month-end close)Cost accounting and inventory control experience strongly preferredProficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, Infor, etc.)Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify variances and present solutionsA proactive mindset with the initiative to take ownership and drive resultsPRO020
