This senior-level engineering role is ideal for a technical specialist who thrives on solving complex manufacturing challenges and who enjoys leading continuous improvement efforts in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Manufacturing Engineer IV at EPS, you will play a key role in advancing our production capabilities and supporting the development of next-generation energy storage technologies.In this position, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes across multiple production lines and programs. Your expertise will support the design of efficient workflows, the selection and validation of tools and equipment, and the implementation of best-in-class manufacturing strategies. You will work independently with minimal supervision and will be expected to lead cross-functional initiatives that enhance product quality, reduce cost, and increase throughput.A critical aspect of this role includes conducting root cause analysis and driving resolution of complex production issues. You will lead cost and time analysis efforts to uncover opportunities for operational improvements and will serve as a subject matter expert in your areas of technical specialization. You will collaborate closely with operations, quality, and design engineering teams to ensure new products are developed with manufacturability in mind. In addition, you will create and maintain advanced process documentation, including work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans, to support a culture of quality and consistency.This role also includes a mentorship component, where you will guide and support junior engineers, helping them develop professionally and technically. Your leadership will contribute to a high-performing engineering culture and will ensure knowledge sharing across teams and projects.The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related discipline, along with at least seven years of hands-on experience in process design and optimization. You should bring deep expertise in manufacturing environments, ideally within the aerospace, energy, or high-tech sectors. Strong project management skills and the ability to lead teams through complex technical challenges are essential. Proficiency with 3D CAD software (such as SolidWorks), process simulation tools, and data analysis platforms is also required.Preferred candidates will have experience with aerospace battery systems, a strong understanding of industry certification and regulatory frameworks (such as AS9100 or ISO standards), and formal training in Six Sigma or advanced statistical methods.
