If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to be a team player, managing & coordinating driver route assignments, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and established internal policies and guidelines.WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?Help the Dispatch team remain aligned & organized throughout the shift, ensuring proper communication, ownership of tasks, and timely escalations to management while supporting & managing the basic tasks of the Dispatcher role itselfDeveloping and providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers, while ensuring the team stays on top of updatesHelping dispatch & monitor drivers for U.S. domestic shipment pick-ups and deliveries and other milestones along their routes. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and established internal policies and guidelines,.Prioritizing time sensitive, high-value cargo, and accident intake, escalating and delegating tasks as neededNotifying drivers of pick-up and delivery assignments and keep truck of transit times for all partiesFacilitating maintenance support in afterhours settingsEnsuring a proper transition of tasks & updates to the teams working the day shift for the whole team * Other projects as assignedWHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; Minimum two years related experience. Minimum two years of industry experience preferred. * Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Characteristics: Demonstrated leadership ability. Ability to read, comprehend, and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
