In this role, you will:
- Provide protective police services to employees, the public, and state buildings and grounds
- Patrol assigned areas by foot or vehicle to detect and deter criminal activity
- Respond to calls for service and assess the nature and urgency of emergencies
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities
- Enforce laws, regulations, and installation rules through verbal warnings, citations, or arrests
- Control traffic flow and ensure safety at public events or accident scenes
- Operate police vehicles, radios, and communication systems
- Participate in regular training to maintain law enforcement skills and readiness

Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Police Officer 2.
Work Schedule: Determined by Supervisor. You will work rotating 12- hour shifts, with rotating days off.
