- Lead and oversee design management efforts with the company.
- Oversee design services (from pursuits and initial design through completion of construction) to ensure appropriate delivery of services and mitigate design risk.
- Oversee design document reviews for completeness and conformance with project requirements.
- Oversee the identification, engagement, and coordination of peer reviews for special systems where determined to be necessary.
- Oversee the coordination of design-assist, design-build, self-perform, and trade subcontractor participation with the design team to ensure timely input and preparation of trade documents, as necessary.
- Oversee the coordination of design with preparation of bid packages to support schedule and construction.
- Oversee contractual compliance reviews that shall identify deviations and assist in obtaining necessary approvals.
- Local and cross-regional travel may be required.
- Minimum four-year bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study.
- Licensed Architect or Engineer preferred.
- LEED Accredited Professional (AP) preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience in design and construction.
- Minimum 10 years of extensive experience working in all phases of design.
- Minimum 5 years of design phase management experience.
- Experience with Design/Build delivery required.
- Knowledge of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) desired.
- Proficient in CADD, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
