Our Food Expeditor serves as the critical link between the kitchen and the front-of-house team, ensuring every dish is plated correctly, garnished appropriately, and delivered to guests promptly. This role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail to maintain smooth service and uphold the restaurant’s quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Coordination:
  • Receive and organize incoming food orders from servers.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prioritized correctly.
Quality Control:
  • Inspect dishes for accuracy, presentation, and quality before sending them to guests.
  • Ensure all modifications and special requests are met.
Timing & Delivery:
  • Ensure food is delivered to the correct table in a timely manner.
  • Maintain coordination between front-of-house and kitchen staff to minimize delays.
Communication:
  • Serve as the liaison between servers and kitchen staff, ensuring smooth and efficient service flow.
Cleanliness & Organization:
  • Keep the expo station clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
Support Team Operations:
  • Assist with plating, garnishing, or assembling dishes during high-volume service.
  • Step in to support servers and kitchen staff as needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
  • Must be fluent in English; reading, writing and spoken.
  • Must have prior experience working with POS system.
  • Must have prior experience in a full-service restaurant as line cook or server
  • Must have proven team leadership skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Food Handler’s Certification
Additional InformationPreferred Experience2+ years of experience in a restaurant environment.Previous experience in a kitchen or as a line cook or server.Familiarity with restaurant operations and kitchen terminology.Experience in high-volume or fine dining environments a plus.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of time.Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, and noise.Schedule & CompensationFlexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
