Pro Resources is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our client’s team in Lafayette, IN. The primary role is to maintain machines and handle building repairs, problem resolutions, and time management.Location: Lafayette, INShift Hours:
  • 2nd Shift: 03:00PM – 12:00AM
  • Monday through Friday, with some mandatory overtime on Saturdays.
Rate of Pay: $22/hourPosition Responsibilities:
  • Setting up machines for various products.
  • Troubleshooting hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatics.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Repairing, rebuilding, and welding.
  • Lubrication and hand truck repair.
  • Building repair and maintenance.
  • Adapting to a fast-paced environment and frequent changes on the production line.
  • Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Strong mechanical background.
  • Welding skills (Tig/Stick).
  • Ability to read blueprints (electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic).
  • Plumbing skills (water, air, and hydraulic).
  • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration.
  • Excellent time management and ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong team player.
  • Effective communication skills with plant and maintenance personnel.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 25’ using a ladder or man lift.
  • Highly motivated and willing to learn new tasks.
  • Availability to work weekends when necessary.
Nonessential Skills:
  • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
  • Exposure to very hot or cold temperature conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be extremely loud.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to bend, walk, work in extreme heat and cold, climb steps and ladders, and enter confined spaces.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to production needs (200-300’ in approximately 30 seconds).
  • Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
