As we expand our operations, we are looking for a talented and experienced Drayage and LTL Logistics Specialist to join our team.Job Description:As a Drayage and LTL Logistics Specialist, you will play a key role in coordinating and optimizing the transportation of goods for our clients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Drayage Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate the movement of containers from ports to distribution centers or other specified locations.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective drayage services while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- LTL Logistics:
- Manage and optimize Less Than Truckload shipments, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing transportation costs.
- Collaborate with carriers to negotiate rates and secure capacity for LTL shipments.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, and carriers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Provide regular updates on shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all necessary shipping documentation.
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and compliance standards to ensure adherence.
- Problem Resolution:
- Proactively identify and address any logistics challenges, finding effective solutions to ensure on-time delivery.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in drayage and LTL logistics.
- Strong understanding of transportation and supply chain management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in logistics software and tools.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
