The ESG & Sustainability Procurement Manager plays a key role within the Procurement team, focused on aligning vendor relationships with the organization's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, particularly as they relate to Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. This position is responsible for integrating ESG principles into sourcing strategies, managing procurement projects with significant cross-functional engagement, and ensuring vendor compliance with sustainability and ethical conduct standards. The role requires strong leadership in overseeing supplier performance, enforcing the company's supplier code of conduct, and collaborating closely with Legal, Sustainability, Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure ESG considerations are upheld throughout the vendor lifecycle.Primary Accountabilities:
  • Operational
Define, maintain, and help enforce ESG-related performance standards across all tiers of suppliers.Lead ESG due diligence efforts, including risk assessments, supplier engagement and compliance tracking initiatives with potential for on-site evaluationsDevelop and execute corrective action plans for underperforming vendors in alignment with ESG expectations.Manage and evolve the supplier code of conduct, driving accountability across the vendor base.Work with internal teams and suppliers to identify and track emissions-related data required for Scope 1 (direct), Scope 2, and Scope 3 (value chain).Help vendors build their capacity to provide credible and consistent emissions disclosures.Integrate emissions reduction targets into vendor performance frameworks and sourcing strategies.
  • Project Management
Lead procurement-led ESG initiatives from concept to execution—often with cross-functional scope and interdependencies.Manage complex sourcing projects where ESG metrics must be tracked, measured, and communicated across departments.Serve as project manager on vendor engagement and ESG compliance efforts involving Legal, IT, Operations, and Sustainability teams.Translate procurement strategies into project plans with defined milestones, responsibilities, and success metrics.

Partner with category managers to embed ESG and sustainability KPIs into sourcing decisions and supplier selection criteria.Ensure that ESG risk and opportunity analysis is part of every relevant procurement decision.Monitor evolving regulatory frameworks (e.g., CSRD) and translate requirements into supplier contract language and internal processes.Additional Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors , Supply Chain Management, with demonstrable experience in procurement related ESG matters. required
  • 4-6 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or vendor governance required
  • ● Proven experience managing procurement-related projects that span multiple business functions. (Medium proficiency)
  • ● Strong grasp of ESG reporting standards and emissions frameworks (e.g., ISSB, GHG Protocol, CDP). (High proficiency)
  • ● Experience working directly with vendors to audit, enforce, and improve adherence to supplier codes of conduct and ESG compliance frameworks. (Medium proficiency)
  • ● Ability to manage large volumes of vendor data, prioritize high-risk suppliers, and drive measurable improvement. (Medium proficiency)
